Happy Endings

Well, as the year and our favorite reality tv shows come to the end of their season this blog is also coming to its end.

It has been a ton of fun being able to rant about reality television to you guys. Thanks to those who have followed me along the way of this adventure!

Now, of course I need to comment on a reality tv show before I leave, which will be my personal favorite, X Factor.

My prediction for the winner of this show will be Alex and Sierra. I have been routing for them since day one. Alex and Sierra are an actual couple from Florida who both happen to have incredible voices. Together they’re unstoppable. If they don’t win I will throw a chair through a window. Just listen to them!

Well I hope you all have the best Holiday Season, and good luck to your future endeavors. It has definitely been real!

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show…Yikes

The Victoria Secret Fashion Show aired last night, and I mean I fully enjoyed it. However, I know there are mixed emotions out there so let’s break down the show.

Now, as for the music choice VS missed the mark….hardcore. Really, Fall Out Boy as a live performer? Wow I remember when I was 13. Thanks for the nostalgia Vicky. Also, I absolutely can not stand Taylor Swift. I don’t have anything against her music (even though every song is basically the same) but I just hate her as a person. You’re going to have her, of all people walk in the fashion show? IDK what type of message you’re trying to send VS, but it shouldn’t be Taylor Swift. She’s desperate for a boyfriend or any form of attention. Get off the stage Taylor. Also, she sang a part of a Fall Out Boy song, and it sounded AWWWFFUUULL. Where are my ear plugs?

Some of the themes of this year’s show was just batshit crazy. Like look at this….

Screen Shot 2013-12-11 at 8.34.24 PM Screen Shot 2013-12-11 at 8.33.56 PM

I’m guess they’re really happy about being in the fashion show huh? Like what even is this theme? Emojicons? Smiling Angels? Possibly something 80’s retro thing? If someone could inform me I’d greatly appreciate it.

If it were my choice I would give the show a 7.5 out of 10. There were some bumps in the road, however I think they pulled it off pretty smoothly. Also, for people who complain that the models commentary is “stupid” I mean you’re watching them, and getting them more $$$$ by the second. Who’s the stupid one now??!?

Be sure to comment your thoughts on the show!

A new twist on a classic…..UGH!

Alright everyone, so MTV has come up with a brand new concept within an old concept.  Mtv’s hit reality tv show “The Real World” is back for its 29th season. The show will have 7 strangers that live in a house and have their lives changed and all that jazz. But this season there’s a huge twist. A few weeks into the show their exes are going to move into the house with them.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa……whoa. First of all people wonder wonder why I don’t date. Well this is the exact reason. You never know when your ex might just pop up into your life. Secondly, WTF MTV?!?!?!?!?! Wasn’t the point of the Real World to get diverse people to live together and educate each other about different parts of life? Now you’re turning to this load of crap. I’m calling this season an “invenfail” (invention + fail). If people are actually going to enjoy watching seven couples just non stop fighting all the time there’s something wrong with our society. also, MTV have you ever thought that The Real World might be a little down on viewer ratings because IT’S ON ITS 29TH SEASON?!?!?!?! Eventually, all good things must come to an end, and I think The Real World will be seeing this sooner than later. However, I’d rather see The Real World end the way we all remember it rather than this load of crap. Ugh, the human race can annoy me beyond belief sometimes.

The strategy of new concept within an old concept isn’t anything new. I mean just look at “The Bachelor”. From that show they created the show Bachelor Pad (hhhuuuuuggggeee invenfail) as a spin off series. I don’t think it’s on anymore but I never heard good things about it. Well, anyways what do you people think? Take the poll below and voice your opinion!

Brixton Food Crawl #7: French & Grace

Fun Fact: I love hummus. This place looks delicious, I’m going to have to visit sometime!

Foodstrated

I’ve been eying up this place for a while and I finally persuaded my friend that there is nothing frightening about Lebanese food (she’s one of those fussy eaters!)

The venue
As with many of the eateries in Brixton Village, French & Grace is a very intimate venue and was probably the smallest I have visited to date.

The place only fits three tables inside (though there are two outside) and it did feel a little awkward but this cosiness is part of the charm of this and other Brixton village eateries.

The food
French and Grace offer dips and small plates to share but mainly they are all about The Wrap!

The idea of having a wrap for dinner didn’t excite me but I went with it, after all the place always looks popular.

It would be rude to go to a Lebanese restaurant for the…

The Matchmaker is Back!

PPPAAATTTIIIIII!!!!!

Alright, so I can barely hold back my excitement. Tonight, season 7 of the millionaire matchmaker premieres. Now, I know I’ve posted about this in a previous post, however I have new updates. I watched a few sneak previews and the season looks like it’s going to be incredible!

Patti’s first client of the season is the typical ugly 40 year old that thinks he’s 25. He literally lies to people and tells them that he’s 30. Also, he tells people that he’s 2 inches taller then he actually is. Ok bud, let me set something straight for you. 1. Most people look their age. Nice try saying you’re ten years younger than you actually are because YOU LOOK LIKE YOU’RE 40. Weeeiiirrrddd. Also, you lie about your height? I have to admit, I am rather tall so I can’t relate to this man’s struggles. However, don’t you think people are going to notice? You can’t control your height. Just deal bro.

Well I have no doubt in my mind that the wonderful Patti Stanger will put him right in his place. Also, the guy from True blood is on the season premiere tonight! I forget the character’s name (to be honest I’m not a True blood fanatic) however, I’ve seen it a few times and I know he’s on it!  Be sure to hit up Bravo tonight for the season premiere on The Millionaire Matchmaker!

A New Kind of Facial

Screen Shot 2013-12-03 at 10.29.15 AM

Last night on the RHOBH, nothing too exciting happened. That was until they showed the “new way” to get a facial. This is absolutely terrifying. Getting an electric facial has just become one of my top 20 new fears. Yikes.

Singing Down the Pipes

American Idol, The Voice, X Factor….Now what do these thing all have in common? Other than being singing reality tv shows. That is in my opinion their days are numbered.

Alright so singing reality tv shoes are a huge part of pop culture. However, hasn’t there like enough already?

American Idol has basically died off. Now, it was at one point the biggest deal ever. But, how many seasons can one show have? Also who still watches this show? I literally have no clue. However, J-Lo is pretty cool. Other than that the show has nothing really working for it anymore.

The Voice and X factor are still in the game. However, I hope they don’t follow the same fait as American Idol. I personally enjoy X Factor. Don’t ask me why I just do. However, this season is kinda weird. Demi- Lovato has blue hair. What is she thinking exactly?

demi-lovato-gold-glitter-hair-for-x-factor

UMMMM…..

Last week myself and my roommates watched The Voice. I actually liked it. But, I think again it can only be so long until these shows are gone. I think X Factor will last longer. I mean wasn’t One Direction found on the British version of the show? Pretty legit.

Overall, no one really cares about these shows. Who won the last season of American Idol???…….point proven.

Reflecting on Reality TV

Today I’m feeling rather nostalgic. Think back upon some reality tv shows that actually affected society in some way.

1. Jersey Shore
Unknown-1

Whether you like them or hate them, you can’t deny that they had a huge impact on society. Even the words grenade, tanorexia, and twinning are still used on a regular basis!

2. The Bachelor/Bachelorette
You gotta love a good showman. Come-on you can’t even disagree with that.

3. The Real Word/ Road Rules
Pre-caps,challenges, confessionals. This was at one point the best reality entertainment out there.

4. The Real Housewives series.
These women have largely shaped society. even one of them has a huge line of alcoholic beverages. Also, who can’t love the boughettos and mantrums in this show?

Drama for your Momma!

Darth Vadar vs Luke Skywalker, Batman vs Joker, Napoleon vs everyone. Now meet Stacci vs. Sheana. Vanderpump Rules started last week and these past two episodes have been filled with crazy drama

So to say that the first season ended a little bit awkward would be a complete understatement. So, at the end of the first season Jax finally admits to cheating on Stacci, which made everyone look really stupid because they all took his side when Stacci tried calling him out on it.  Oh ya, not only did he cheat on her I’m pretty sure he got the bitch pregoes.

To be honest I wasn’t sure what to expect in these past two episodes of Vanderpump Rules.  So here are the top 5 things (in my personal opinion) that has happened thus far.

  1. SHEANA’S COMPLETELY PSYCHO

So of course Sheana is back this season, however it’s a completely different person. She’s literally insane. SO Sheana was friends with everyone at SUR at the end of season one, however now hates everyone because they didn’t call her when she broke her took and needed reconstructive surgery.

Ok, whoa girl you need to calm down. You fell and broke your tooth and needed probably the lightest form of surgery ever that could happen in a dentist office. Get over yourself.  And the sad thing is that she’s not only mad at her co-workers, but she calls them out about it on a daily basis.

It only got worse this past episode. Sheana, “broke her foot” or something and was on crutches. When she shows Lisa her foot it’s like a slight bruise. Stop playing the victim girl, no one likes a damsel in distress.

  1. It’s been confirmed- Kristin is a Bitch

Ok, I’ve always hated this girl but now we have reason to. First of all your boyfriend cheated on you in Las Vegas multiple times with the same girl. You think She’d break up with him and kick him out of the house? NOPE.  Also, because her boyfriend cheated on her and is still living/working with him she’s miserable 24/7.  Kristin you’re basic. You’re rude, you’re judgmental, and I just really hate watching you. Try kicking your boyfriend to the curb that might help.

  1. Jax and Stacci

Alright Jax you need to get over Stacci. You cheated on her. She’s done. Getting that tattoo of her was probably not your best idea was it Jax?

  1. Lisa is still a boss.

It’s that simple. She’s just Lisa.

Overall, Idk how I feel about this season. These people are getting more and more annoying by the episode. Also, they’re all way to old to be having this type of drama.  Take your noses out of the air, become a real human beings, and get over yourselves.  Well, let’s see how the rest of the season goes!

Fights, Gossip, and Spin-Offs, Oh My!

It was a very exciting Monday nightfor the television network Bravo, as the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) and Vanderpump Rules premiered their new seasons.

The RHOBH was chop full of drama. Now for those of you who have never seen the show, basically the show follows around women socialites who have so much money it’s basically flooding out their crappy nose jobs.

The show took off right where last seasons reunion left us. Basically, everyone is now frienemies. Kyle, and Lisa are bickering every 5 seconds, and Brandy and Yolanda hate Kyle- yet still went to her cocktail party (awkward af). Also the rumor still exist that Yolanda some not so nice words about Lisa to Kyle. But, Lisa doesn’t believe Kyle…..

Ok let me approach this for one moment. I am 100% team Kyle. She is the realest out of all of them. Lisa, are you really going to believe Yolanda over Kyle. Just look at Yolanda’s face. She looks like a sneaky ass fox.

Screen Shot 2013-11-07 at 9.50.55 AM

^WHAT DOES THE FOX SAY YOLANDA?

This season also premiered two new housewives. First there’s Carlton ( yes she is a women named Carlton). She’s from some part of England. And that’s basically all we know about her. Oh ya also her kids names are Destiny, Mystery, and Cross. Ok, good try for being original Carlton but WTF. Destiny, ok that’s a good name choice- but Mystery and Cross? Why would you give your kids nouns for names? I don’t get it.

Then we got the pleasure of meeting Joyce. Joyce is an energetic, fun, and beautiful young housewife who, like Kyle, also seems to be very real. For example, when Carlton told her the names of her children she was the only one to give a surprised look. Then Carlton got all upset about it. Like hello your kids names are weird! And she can’t even lie she totally named her kids cross and mystery for the attention value. Basically, Joyce has a new fan. As for Carlton, your have a new frienemy 😉

Oh ya I almost forgot about Kim! Kim is still great! The only drama she has is that her dog chews everything is her house. She’s also managed to stay completely sober! You go Kim!

So, since there there is so much to talk abut from Vanderpump Rules (which is based off of Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant staff -___-) I think I’m going to keep that to my next post. Until then see you next time!
